Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Do you perform for birthday parties?
No. Due to the size of our staging and equipment, and the liability issues associated with entering a private residence, LTDM Entertainment does not perform at children's birthday parties or at any private residence. Our shows are designed for professional venues and public spaces such as theaters, festivals, museums, cultural centers, hotels, resorts, amusement parks, and community celebrations.
2. How far in advance should we book a show?
We recommend booking 2–6 months in advance for most events. Holiday programs, Christmas productions, and seasonal attractions often book 6–24 months in advance, with many clients securing specific dates a full year ahead of performance.
3. What age groups are your shows designed for?
Most of our family productions are recommended for ages 6 and up, while remaining entertaining for teenagers, parents, grandparents, and adults. Our goal is to create theatrical experiences that appeal to the entire family.
4. Do you perform at libraries or schools?
We have in the past for special events. However, our newest productions have specific technical, staging, and budget requirements that may not be compatible with every facility. We are happy to discuss your venue and determine whether we have a program that is a good fit.
5. Do you offer collaborative or revenue-sharing bookings?
In some situations, yes. Depending on the event, venue, and projected audience, LTDM Entertainment may participate in collaborative engagements where tickets are sold directly to the public through a third party vendor such as Ticketmaster or Eventbrite. These activation opportunities are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
6. How long does it take to set up a show?
Setup times vary depending on the production.
-
Small touring productions: 1–2 hours
-
Medium theatrical productions: 2–6 hours
-
Large-scale installations, attractions, and immersive experiences: up to 24 hours or more
A detailed production schedule is provided prior to each engagement.
7. Where can we see your marionettes in person?
Our productions regularly appear at major events and attractions throughout Texas. Current public appearances include the State Fair of Texas and Six Flags Over Texas. Additional public performances are announced throughout the year on our calendar and social media channels.
8. What types of venues do you typically perform at?

9. What technical requirements do you need?
Requirements vary by production. Some shows require only a modest performance area and access to standard electrical service, while larger productions may require staging, theatrical lighting, sound systems, loading access, and dedicated backstage space. A detailed technical rider is provided during the booking process to ensure all venue requirements are clearly outlined.
In many cases, LTDM Entertainment supplies the majority of the production elements, including staging, lighting, sound equipment, theatrical drapery, scenic components, and, for certain large-scale installations and immersive experiences, audience seating. Our goal is to make the process as simple as possible for the presenter while ensuring a professional, high-quality guest experience. We work closely with each venue to determine the most appropriate setup for the event, audience size, and performance environment

10. What makes LTDM Entertainment different from other performers?
Founded in 1989, LTDM Entertainment combines the timeless art of marionette puppetry with professional theatrical production. Our company has entertained thousands of guests through partnerships with major attractions, festivals, cultural organizations, museums, educational institutions, hotels, and amusement parks. We create handcrafted productions, custom attractions, immersive experiences, and family entertainment that blend storytelling, scenic design, music, and visual artistry into memorable live experiences.
Marionette theater is a rapidly disappearing art form in America, and LTDM is proud to be among the few professional companies still actively preserving and presenting this unique theatrical tradition in the Southern United States. Through our performances, educational outreach, and continued investment in new productions, we strive to introduce new generations to the wonder, craftsmanship, and magic of marionette theater while keeping this historic art form alive for future audiences.
